The Brief

A historic limestone residence in Bronzeville — one of Chicago’s most culturally significant neighborhoods — fully furnished across the main level for a young entrepreneur and art collector with a clear and confident vision.

The brief was sophisticated and specific: a space built equally for intimate living and curated entertaining, with room for a baby grand piano, a curved sofa, sculptural pieces, and art that meant something. A quartzite fireplace surround — floor to ceiling, full drama — was designed to anchor the living room and integrate the television seamlessly into the architecture. Jewelry-like lighting. Considered fabrics. Silhouettes that echo the art on the walls.

Every decision was made in service of a woman who collects beautiful things, hosts with intention, and lives her life as a visual statement.
